Victorian Junior Events

Many opportunities exist for junior golfers in Victoria. In addition to SAJG events, many golf clubs and both the VGA and WGV run events for junior golfers primarily at club level and beyond.

Jack Newton International

Each year SAJG sends representatives to the Jack Newton International, one of Australia's premier junior events. Played over 72 holes at The Oaks GC in Cessnock, NSW, the event is a terrific experience for any talented junior golfer. It is generally played in October, during the NSW school holidays.

SAJG was represented in 2009 by Jonathan Stella and Julienne Soo. Both were strong players throughout the year in the Regional Series and relished the opportunity to play the event.

Julienne had a really great tournament and stamped herself as a real player of the future.
