Membership

SAJG membership has been remodelled in 2013 to form the Rookie Club. The Rookie Club has been established primarily for young golfers who have taken up golf, but are yet to join a golf club. The membership is open to juniors under 15 years of age (DOB from 1999 onwards) and has the support of all the major golfing bodies in Australia. There is a Rookie Club kit, discounted entry fees and e communications all as part of the membership fee of $25 per annum (on a calendar year basis).

How much does the membership cost?

Membership fees for the 2013 calendar year are just $25.00

What do I get for being a member?

All members receive The Rookie Club member cap and bag tag, discounted entry fees into Rookie events and member enews (approx 4 per year).

Can I join at any time of the year?

You can join at any time of the year and your membership is valid until the end of that year (Dec 31).

Do I need to have played golf before?

Ideally yes. Stuart Appleby Junior Golf caters for all abilities through its series of events. The most basic events are the Victorian Junior Classics (played in each school holidays at the Aust Pitch'n'Putt course) and 9 hole events as part of our Rookie Series where golf handicaps are not required.

How young can I join?

There is no minimum age requirement to being a member! To become a member simply download the Membership Form from the "The Rookie Club" page and send it to:

Do I have access to coaching?

There are many coaching opportunities available to junior golfers. SAJG is embracing the great work being carried out by many golf clubs and professionals around the state by providing an event pathway. SAJG is primarily a junior golf event/tournament provider.

Is the membership value for money?

Yes, the membership pack alone is valued at over $20....and there are discounted entry fees into many junior events.
