David returned scores of 47 and 43 stableford points to post a total of 16 under, good enough to take out both the Dec/Jan Monthly Medal and also the Medal of Medallists playoff for 2009.
There were other great scores returned by David Vadori (Northern) -14, Will Qoro (Huntingdale) -13, Brendan Lee (The Heritage), Bianca Ling (Kingswood) and Mitch Davis (Yarrarwonga) all on -12. Josh Vitacca (Rosanna) finished on -11 and Luke Lloyd (Jubilee), Kyle Michel (Shepparton) and Ben Rogers (Sorrento) all finished on 10 under.
There were also many great individual rounds and SAJG wishes to congratulate all those that had a successful summer of golf, and particularly Ben Rogers who took out the Sorrento Club Championships in January.
SANCHEZ BURNS UP THE COURSE & TRINCA CLAIMS NEW TURF!
The Term 1 U16's Classic was all thrills once again, with 11 year old Matias Sanchez (Sandhurst) burning up the testy par 3 layout, shooting an incredible 2 under par to claim his 7th successive victory in this event!!!!!!!
14 year old Abbey Trinca (The Sands Torquay) claimed new turf, winning her first U16's Classic in style, by 3 shots from defending champ 10 year old Danielle Hu.
There were plenty of smiles in all the age divisions, with many winning for the first time. The Australian Pitch & Putt course at Mulgrave was again a tremendous venue for this extremely popular event.
